The international trade fair SolarEnergy 2012 has been a global
meeting point, a fertile forum, and a marketplace for
establishing new contacts and initiating new
business in all areas of renewable energy technology and
energy efficiency for over ten years. In 2012, well over 300
exhibitors from the fields of photovoltaics and solar thermal
energy, heat pumps, combined heat and power plants and biomass, and
exhibitors with innovative energysaving solutions are expected on
an exhibition area covering just under 20,000 m². In
addition to these building-oriented technologies, the mobility
technologies are also becoming more and more important. The fair is
taking appropriate account of this fact with halls that are
exclusively devoted to electromobility and other innovative drive
technologies.
The cosmopolitan city of Berlin has been home to the SolarEnergy
International Trade Fair since 1996, an exhibition that has grown
over the years into a technology show for the entire domain of
renewable energies and energy-efficiency technologies. It has been
staged since 2004 every two years, together with the International
Trade Fair for Building and Construction Technology „bautec“. With
70,000 visitors from all around the world, SolarEnergy is
one of the most internationally recognised and esteemed trade shows
in the industry.
